Also, on the 25th February 2016, I received a letter in from the Department of Work and Pensions regarding my son’s DLA.
They needed me to complete another form and either send in paperwork or else get my paperwork validated in a Job Centre Office, proving that I wasn’t subject to immigration control and that I was entitled to benefits.
This was a little bit more than mildly annoying since these are benefits for my son, a British Citizen, not for myself.
Thankfully, the visit to Job Centre was not only productive, but quick.
UKIPers and like-minded should take note, your benefits system is doing just fine policing itself!
I’ve since received another letter, confirming receipt of validated paperwork and stating that decision should be made in 8 weeks.
